Adult CPR - $40 Participants will learn
how to recognize signals of a heart attack, care for an adult
who stops breathing or is choking, and to give CPR to an adult
whose heart has stopped beating.
First Aid Basics - $25 Participants
will learn how to recognize an emergency, check a conscious or
unconscious victim, control bleeding, and care for other emergencies
such as sprain, strain, fracture, burns, shock, sudden illness,
and heat & cold related emergencies.
Infant and Child CPR - $40 Participants
will learn how to care for an infant or child who has stopped
breathing or is choking and to give CPR to an infant or child
whose heart has stopped beating.
Sport Safety Training - $50 Participants
will learn how to recognize a coach's safety responsibilities,
to prevent injuries to athletes, give CPR to an adult whose heart
has stopped beating, care for an adult who has stopped breathing
or is choking, and provide basic first aid.
CPR for the Professional Rescuer - $60 Participants
will learn how to care for an infant, child, or adult who is
choking, has stopped breathing or heart has stopped beating,
the use of a bag valve mask and 2 man CPR. Participants will
receive a pocket mask at the class.
Adult and Child CPR - $45 Participants
will learn to care for a child or adult who has stopped breathing
or is choking and to give CPR to a child or adult whose heart
has stopped beating.
Adult, Infant, and Child CPR - $45 Participants
will learn how to care for an infant, child, or adult who is
choking, has stopped breathing or heart has stopped beating.
Adult CPR and First Aid Basics - $45 Participants

Child Care First Aid - $45 Participants
will learn how to care for an infant or child who has stopped
breathing or is choking and to give CPR to an infant or child
whose heart has stopped beating. Participants will also learn
how to recognize an emergency, check a conscious or unconscious
victim, control bleeding, and care for other emergencies such
as sprain, strain, fracture, burns, shock, sudden illness, heat
& cold related emergencies, dental emergencies, and anaphylactic
shock.
Baby-sitter's Training - $30 Participants
must be at least 11years old to participate. This class will
provide youth with the information and skills necessary to provide
safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents
or guardians. This training will help participants develop skills
in leadership and professionalism, basic care, safety and safe
play and first aid. Participants will need to bring a lunch and
a doll to the class.
Lifeguard Training Course - $185 The
lifeguard training course is designed to teach those interested
in working at an aquatic facility the skills necessary to successfully
prevent and effectively respond to all aquatic and non-aquatic
emergencies. The lifeguard training course is a hands-on course
with many practical activities. It can be strenuous at times.
This is not a course for non-swimmers. This course is approximately
31 hours in length including CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer,
First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens Training.
The prerequisites are as follows: Participants
must be 15 years of age at the conclusion of the class. The participant must swim 300 yards continuously. There is
no time limit, but stopping is not permitted.
The swim consists of:: 100 yards of front crawl
using flutter kick and rotary breathing 100 yards
of breaststroke exhibiting a pull, kick, and glide 100
yards of either breaststroke or front crawl.
The participant must swim 20 yards using breaststroke or front
crawl, perform a surface dive to a depth of 7-12 feet, retrieve
a 10 lb. brick, return to the surface, swim 20 yards back to
the starting point, and exit the pool without using a ladder
or steps. The 10 lb. brick must be held with both hands, and
the face must remain above the water at all times. This
must be completed with 1 minute and 30 seconds.
Water Safety Instructor Course - $185 The
water safety instructor course is designed to educate instructors
on how to instruct people on swimming skills and strokes that
will allow participants to feel safe and confident in and around
the water. The water safety instructor course allows instructors
to teach people about basic water safety, and what to do to prevent
an emergency and how to respond in case an emergency should happen.
This course is approximately 34 hours in length, including
F.I.T. The prerequisites for the Water Safety
Instructor Course are as follows: The participant
must complete F.I.T. or already be an American Red Cross instructor
for another course. Any WSI class offered will include the F.I.T.
portion for the course. The participant must be
16 years old at the conclusion of the course.
The participant must be able to perform the following strokes: 25 yards of Front Crawl/Freestyle with rotary breathing 25 yards of Back Crawl 25 yards of
breast stroke with rhythmic breathing 25 yards
of elementary back stroke 25 yards of side stroke 15 yards of butterfly
The participant must also be able to float or skull on their
back for 1 minute in deep water. The participant
must also be able to tread in deep water for 1 minute.
